Reading Week? More Like Weeding Week
Reading week is almost here! We’ve been seeing a lot of rain recently, and the weather is definitely getting chillier. Coinciding with this, there hasn’t been much to harvest in the garden. Nevertheless, there is always much to do at drop-ins!
Monday 2025/11/03
- Finished clearing out the tomatoes that no longer had ripening fruit.
- Mulched with more leaves from Main Mall.
- Compost bins were FULL so we had to do some stomping.
Thursday 2025/11/06
- Separated so many garlic bulbs.
- Planted half of the peeled garlic and marked the areas with sticks. Next time, we’ll get around to planting the other half.
Whether you’re battling midterms or warding off any remaining vampires with cloves of garlic, we hope that everyone is taking care of themselves this season. Next Monday is Remembrance Day, so our usual drop-in session will be cancelled. You’ll hear from us again after the break — have a good one!
